Kamala Harris: A Clear and Present Danger to Israel and the Jewish People

Not so long-ago conservatives applauded the announcement by the Democrats that Kamala Harris would replace Joe Biden as their Presidential candidate. The reason conservatives cheered was due to a perceived handicap Harris brought to the ticket. Biden was demonstrably incoherent but how was Harris any different? Her speeches, loosely called, were rambling sentences of nonsensical gobbledygook, littered with equally nonsensical Marxist catch phrases such as, “What can be, unburdened by what has been,” highlighted her stumping. What conservatives did not understand a few weeks ago has become their handicap. Let me explain.

Kamala Harris is many things, She is a political survivor, someone who understands how the game of politics works. It is helpful to have benefactors who will open doors along the way and Harris has certainly availed herself of such. She has risen from a lowly state employee to United States Senator at a meteoric rate not seen since a junior state senator from Illinois by the name of Barack Obama did the same.

Along the path of becoming Vice President, Harris has surrounded herself with advisors who hate Israel and the Jewish people. A case in point is Philip Gordon, Kamala Harris’ National Security Advisor and if rumors are accurate, her future Secretary of State should she win the 2024 Presidential race. The problem with Mr. Gordon is that he is a long-standing hater of Israel and the Jewish people. His 2007 book, Winning the Right War, became a blueprint for the Obama administration in their handling of the Middle East tensions. A summary of Gordon’s advice to Obama then and Harris now is simple this: America and Israel are to blame for creating conditions that gave rise to Islamic terrorism. Further, Gordon preaches that Muslim terrorists simply want freedom. In order to achieve that Gordon advocates for the Biden administration to reverse the gains of the Trump administration in relation to political and economic gains and normalized relationships with other Arab-Muslim nations. In none of this makes any sense it is because you are looking at a world of Islamic Muslim deception writ large.

All of this should serve as a dire warning of impending disaster for Israel and Jewish people. But this is only the beginning. The Harris campaign recently announced the selection of Ilan Goldenberg as its “liaison” to American Jews. Goldenberg is a virulent anti-Semite. Several of his recent article and op-ed pieces widely published were titled, “Relax Israel – If Your Ally Is Working With Your Enemy, It Doesn’t Make Them Friends, which speaks of the Iran nuclear deal favorably. Other gems include “Why Israel’s Settlement Construction Must Be Stopped” and “How Israel Brought U.N. Resolution on Itself With Irrational Settlement Push”. Goldenberg’s resume includes serving on John Kerry’s staff under Obama, supporting Iranian policies within the US government bureaucracy, lobbying for more money for Gaza, opposing every bipartisan pro-Israel legislation, opposing the Trump administrations efforts to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem, opposing Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights, and stonewalling efforts to cut off financial aid to the Palestinian Authority. Goldenberg has remained a critic of Israel and a supporter of Hamas and Iran even after October 7, 2023.

Even more troubling than all of this, however, is Goldenberg’s associations with anti-Israel groups such as J Street, Americans for Peace Now, and the Israel Policy Forum. Harris and a potential Harris administration is signaling in advance that it will be the most anti-Israel US administration ever. Harris’ nonstop criticism of Israel’s self-defense is surely a shot over Israel’s bow meant to alert the Islamists that she and her administration will be friendly toward the continued attempts to annihilate Israel.

While all of this seems extremely troubling, Christian Americans should take hope. If the world is rising up to oppose and eventually take military action against Israel, it can only mean one thing. The stage is being set for the return of King Jesus. His return marks the end of hatred toward His people as He will destroy the nations who stand against Israel. He will be the Savior of His people Israel as the Bible foretells. Maranatha!
